Description:
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Build high-performance interactive 3D simulation software for the core foundational platform of Apple’s most advanced technologies, including augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). Develop prototypes using state-of-the-art technology. Work closely with Apple’s Human Interface design team to define the next generation of computing. Understand 3D applications and work closely with artists, designers, and engineers to define and prove new application concepts. Author functional unit and integration tests for corresponding software features to prevent regressions. Debug complex software bugs and regressions using debugging tools like lldb. Analyze and optimize non-performant rendering and simulation systems for multiple platforms. Utilize GIT-based workflows (via stash, GitHub) for code development. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,931 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Azure certifications in Cloud development and architecture would be a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Experience and/or education must include:
Software development using C/C++ to develop core framework functionality.
Using GIT-based workflows (via stash, GitHub) for code development.
3D Graphics stack and linear algebra knowledge to develop 3d software features.
Debugging software and graphics-related software problems.
Utilizing 3d authoring pipelines for API integration points for content creation.
Experience with real-time ECS based game engine development.
Practical knowledge of shader code (HLSL, GLSL) development and optimization.
