Description


APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop a high-performance real-time 3D rendering engine for Apple platforms and devices such as Apple Vision Pro. Collaborate with the art team to ensure high-quality visual results for visual effects integrated in the operating system. Develop and implement rendering techniques to create realistic environments and characters for virtual reality applications. Optimize rendering performance using CPU and GPU programming to ensure smooth and responsive animations. Research and integrate new technologies, including path tracers and global illumination to improve rendering quality and performance. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C, C++, and Objective C to develop framework. Collaborate with other engineers to design and implement the engine architecture that runs simulations and performs rendering. Debug and fix issues related to rendering performance and stability to integratethe engine in the operating system. Develop tools and workflows to streamline the content creation pipeline for Apple technical artists. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in realtime 3D rendering technologies. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $226,158 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Graphics, Programming or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Utilizing Programming Languages such as C, Objective C, C++, and Swift.

  • Performing GPU Programming and Shaders for real-time animations and user interactions.

  • Using 3D Math Algebra to solve 3D scene transformation, projection and rendering.

  • Working on User Interface and Tool Development in C. C++, or ObjectiveC.

  • Performing CPU Performance Optimization and Low Level Programming for applications to run effectively on embedded systems.

  • Shader Programming and utilizing shader languages such as Metal SL to define how materials and effects appear in a 3D scene.

  • Writing custom shaders to enhance the visual quality of rendered images.

  • Utilizing iOS SDK frameworks for high-performance graphics rendering on macOS or iOS devices.

  • API/Framework Development, including ability to develop core frameworks for operating systems.
